The large water collection area prevents any kind of pooling and has a luxurious feel about it. This product is not of good quality craftsmanship. The shelf on the bottom of the sink has holes cut into it that are very very sharp around the edges. It will slice you just handling it. It's a major safety concern especially because I have pets and for myself or anyone coming into contact with it. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
