These are excellent commercial grade LED bulbs which can replace traditional HID metal halide/high pressure sodium bulbs. Ballast must be bypassed, as these use just normal 120V line voltage. These burn only 10% of the power as traditional HID bulbs, yet they produce the same lumen output. Also as advertised, these feature a sliding switch which allows you to select the wattage and lumen output, a fantastic feature which allows for some customization. Another great feature of these bulbs is the fact that they can be used in many standard base light fixtures with an inexpensive (not included) E39 adapter. Great for garages and other fixtures which allow the extra space for the larger height and width of of these bulbs. Installation was a bit tricky as this was the first custom shower drain I have installed but I was able to figure it out. Once installed this drain is awesome. The large water collection area prevents any kind of pooling and has a luxurious feel about it.
