The rough-in valve can be installed in any direction as long as the bathtub center line is aligned with one of the six screws on the plaster guard. The plaster guard has a flat top for easy leveling in installation to ensure the trim will be standing straight after installation. A test cap and plugs are included for pressure testing the connection between the rough-in valve and water supply lines.

Normally, Wayfair is reliable and products are as expected they should be. I received a Delta multichoice rough in, the box was in another box. Original packing was damaged and open with parts possibly missing. I am not sure the rough in recommended is even the correct one. I have yet to install it to confirm it works correctly until I investigate further. I do not want to sweat in or otherwise damage this item so its un-returnable, also instLl to have to uninstall.. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is incredible how quickly I am able to fill my bathtub with this tub filler. I was used to it taking at least 7 or 8 minutes to draw a bath, but not anymore. Not only does it fill quickly, but it is an amazing piece that really differentiates my bathroom from most others.
