I love the simplicity and low profile of this patio umbrella base stand! It says it’s 40 lbs. but it feels much heavier than that! It was extremely easy to assemble, five minutes! I’ve had my umbrella opened since I installed it and we’ve had rain and wind for the past week and this umbrella has not wavered or moved an inch! I’m in the process of finding a new outdoor table with an umbrella hole, and I have no worries that this base will keep the umbrella steady. I like the fact that it come with several hole adjustments for various size poles. I had to use the 1.5 inch hole tube. Update, have a new table with the umbrella hole. This Umbrella is a great addition to our patio. Big and strong built. It is well constructed and much bigger than I expected . My husband needed it to be able to stand over the hot tub. It’s Perfect. The handrail is made from 1.5” round aluminum stock tube to allow for comfortable daily use. The endcaps are machined from aluminum for an elegant return that protects your wall. The distance projection from the face of the handrail to the wall when installed is approximately 3.75 inches. High strength construction meets load requirements of 200lbs or more. The handrails are designed to have a minimum of 1.5" clearance from the wall to the back of the handrail to meet standard clearance code requirements (see images for technical dimensional drawing). Check your local zoning codes for all applicable compliance requirements. Matching stainless steel screws are included. The handrail brackets are designed to be mounted directly into wall studs.
