This is for my 11 year old. He uses the desk to build his legos on and we store some tubs of lego's under the desk so that they are accessible for him to create things. The LED lights don't do much to light up under the bed. They are more for fun to decorate under the bed. We have added some LED lighting in different places under his bed so that it is depressing to hang out under there. It hurts a bit to climb the ladder. Not my favorite thing. However, I have discovered that most bunkbeds have this issue. The bed is a teeny bit squeaky if wiggled. My 17yr old son and I built the bed. However, I did most of it myself and I just called my son in to help with the mattress support railing. (You need two people. After we deleted the 1st one, she worked. I stayed in the 5 ghz. In my router. She doesn’t understand cups for filling the coffee pot and her ounces are way off.
