The awning is great so far. We have 12*10 size. We added this on our deck on vinyl sliding.. needed to find the stud and used ledger-lock instead of given screws ( as those can only be used in brick).. looks pretty solid, will have to see how it holds in wind.. LOVE. Great quality and they look amazing. I was quoted $6500 from a local awning company for the same "look" and for the same four windows. Reading some of the reviews might not make you want to buy it but….then again some people should not own any tools. The instructions were not terrible, but not updated as far as the canopy installation….but mechanical ability and common sense prevails there. I only had to use instructions for the sequence of assembly, the assembly itself is self explanatory if you open everything and lay it out in front of you. Note to self, the valance is tall, I should have raised my awning for I am covering some of my doors decorative top trim. I should have installed the lights as directed , again back peddling some of the installation process, thinking I could do them last….I installed the awning myself using 2 ladders at 10ft. apart for the 12ft. awning….pulling it up ,alternating side to side. My thought process for anyone taking 4days is put on your shirt and tie, go back to work and make the $ for the installation fee listed.. Anonymous. . 2022-07-18 07:42:24
