It comes without paper instructions and the PDF online are not sufficient to understand how to assemble all the parts. Additionally, the coupling with the existing plumbing can be incompatible with the pipes. In my case, the bathcock did not fit completely and I had to replace it.. gdf. I bought 2 of these, hoping the quality was good. Unit was better than expected. This faucet (made in Taiwan, not Republic of China, BTW) was what I would consider an outstanding item. Heavy, (almost 4 lbs) brass casting with uniform chrome finish, simple design, all nuts, washers, etc in the box, it was a direct fit to my clawfoot tub, with no modifications needed. Each of the two water inlet escutcheons are threaded and can be screwed in or out to accommodate how far you want the valve assembly to protrude into the shower. A large, chromed nut to accommodate the 3/8s riser pipe (up to showerhead) had a hefty rubber gasket that sealed perfectly. Install was 20 minutes; do buy and use plumber's putty to seal around the 2 escutcheons. I wanted a turn-style diverter to replace my existing shower/faucet which allowed the majority of water to escape down the drain. This unit routes about 95% of water up to the showerhead, even with low water pressure. Do not hesitate to buy this faucet! I am delighted with this product. Delivery was free and in like 4 days..
