the smell is VERY overpowering at first but will fade. i don’t suggest pets or kids or sensitive noses around it when building. it looks gorgeous and feels decent quality. one of the holes for the supports on the bed was not drilled, so we had to work around that.. The chairs are nice but there were several issues assembling them. The screws did not line up very well with the holes they were supposed to screw into. One hole was filled with glue or something and we spent at least 30 minutes trying to get the bolt threaded.
