We ordered thermally modified walnut. It is several shades darker than the picture on Wayfair would lead you to believe. But it looks to be well made and we can lighten it by sanding a little of the darkest burned places down. I do like the dark and light contrast that the thermally modified treatment gives. It’s not installed yet so I can not speak to the function of the hardware. Overall satisfied but deducting one star because it’s so much darker than expected.. Hayley.
