It took 1.75 hr to assemble but would have been quicker with an extra pair of hands. It says it is strong enough for an adult to sit on, but no way would I let someone do that because it just doesn’t have the strength of buildmaterial to not sag with a 160 lb person resting on it. The construction illustrations are a bit difficult to follow at first. Fortunately, I was able to unsnap/disconnect the pieces that I erroneously snapped together. Then figured it out and got the two cubes assembled properly. They seem pretty stable and do hold enough for my purposes -- 4 thick chair pads in one and some gardening tools in the other. I used a rubber mallet to save banging with my hands to snap the pieces together. It took us about three to four hours over the course of two afternoons. I recommend two people during assembly. Once assembled the bin seems very sturdy.
