This bed took 6 or 7 days to come in, when it was delivered some pieces of the cardboard were broken, but it didn’t really change anything. There are a few scratches on the bed, honestly I can’t do anything about it so it’s useless worrying about it.me and my sisters built this bed in the span of 10 hours. We were stuck of a few parts which is normal I guess, overall it was simple looking back at it. It’s very sturdy and strong, we got full over fully, only reason why I’m giving it a 4 out of 5 stars is simply because of the delivery and a few scratches on the bed, that’s only fair. We got this bunk bed with storage for our kids, and it has been a total game changer for their room. I ordered these bunk beds in July when they product was in stock after eyeing for a while. I ordered the product and it was expected to be delivered in 2 weeks. When the product is suppose to ship I get another email it’s now on “back order” and won’t ship for another 3 weeks. So frustrating but waited it out. It then took another 2-3 weeks after it shipped to actually receive it! Was NOT happy about waiting that long. The bunks came in 8 boxes, I was overwhelmed for sure. My husband and I unpackaged all the boxes and hauled everything piece by piece as we needed it. It only took myself (20 weeks pregnant) and my husband 2 hours to put together !!! unfortunately, when putting together there was 2 damaged pieces of wood. When we got to the step portion all the hardware was labeled wrong taking much longer to figure out which hardware we needed to use. After all said and done we are happy with the product. This is very sturdy and well-built. It took my husband about 3 hours to assemble it himself (he is very into this kind of thing so it might take others a little longer). I only had to help lift the top bunk onto the pegs, but otherwise it was a solo job. There's plenty of room on the bottom bunk for my kid to sit up and when my other kid wiggles up top, it's not super squeaky or wobbly for the bottom kid. I just received the ladder. Assembly was simple; less than 10 minutes. The ladder is very sturdy and stable, with large rubber feet and excellent grip in the steps. Although the description states "steel" construction, it omits the weight of ~25lbs. It is heavier than I expected. One other consideration: the handrails screw on in a fixed position...not really "removable" w/o removing 4 screws.
