I bought this product because I wanted to help a friend make it appear that their 65” TV was mounted on the wall, but they wanted to minimize the amount of drilling and damage to the plaster wall in their old, historic-district house. This product is perfect. The TV attaches to the stand/mount easily and it stands up on its own. The instructions strongly suggest securing to a wall with a single screw for best safety and stability, so we did that and it is rock solid and looks fantastic. We painted the center column to match the wall and it virtually disappears. We ran the power and HDMI cables behind the center column so there are no ugly wires showing. My friend and I could not be more happy with the product. Now that I have seen and used the stand, they are planning to buy another one for use in their daughters dorm room, on a smaller TV, as a great space saver without damaging the wall. It will be sandwiched between the bed and the wall and they won't use the screw. When I decided to wall-mount a 55 inch TV, I wanted as clean an installation as possible: no tethered boxes on a table below. That meant attaching a Fire Stick 4K, a Harmony Hub and an old TiVO Mini to the rear of the TV. The TiVO and Fire Stick were easy, but the Harmony Hub is made to sit on a horizontal surface, period. As I envisioned fabricating something out of metal strapping, I spotted the Mount-IT! MI-355 online. Perfect! And it was. DTV+ actually works great, make sure your installer(plumber and electrician read the installation requirements before install. My outlet is a dedicated circuit and running our system with the 6 valve mod., water pressure is set @60psi running an overhead rain shower, 2 separate his/hers wall mounted shower, his/hers separate body sprayers and 1 hand held.
