I have been using this for 2 weeks in the Texas heat, and it even rained and I haven't run into any issues. Also the color is bright. Fantastic, but a few things to know. It’s very cost effective to buy your own durable brand like this, and pay an electrician to install it, but you need a little patience. Most of the struggle was finding a qualified HVAC professional to install a unit they couldn’t markup because they didn't sell it to you. Additionally, some requested permits. As long as you’re not in a rush, or handy enough to install yourself including the breaker, this is a fantastic purchase. Living in Florida, the self cleaning feature is intended to reduce mold. I haven’t had to do that yet, but a great function. The remote has a lot of features including being able to adjust the temperature on each of the inside heads separately. I have already googled a replacement remote, because I lose everything. If you aren’t used to ductless AC, you’ll just want to locate the manual override on the inside unit heads, or use the app on your phone. The SEER2 rating is high for a unit like this, so I’m hoping it helps with my electric bill.
