My two kitties love their new space! We have two 9 months old kitties that we rescued when they were 3 12 weeks old. They are indoor cats but we wanted to give them a safe sanctuary when are not home. I put the structure together myself and it probably would have gone quicker if I had help but I took my time and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. Love this! Debated about the purchase for a while, but finally went for it, and my cats are in love. Its sturdy and assembly instructions are straight forward. Plenty of room for both of my large cats (about 12-14 lbs each). I added some finer screening around it to keep bugs out (just stapled it to the frame) and created a wood frame that fits inside my window so it can be secured without attaching it to the exterior of my house. Bought this for my sphynx cat who can’t stay outside for long periods of time but I want to let him get some fresh air! Having the solid weatherproof roof helps block any sunlight and keeps him shaded. The size and everything is great because he’s a lounge cat he isn’t super active and really uses this to lay and listen to the birds and get fresh air. It looks nice and is perfect for what I need! But the screws for the box need to be longer. I had two come out within minutes of putting them in.
