This GE Cooktop is beyond easy to install and even easier to use. It is a smart cooktop so it is touchscreen, but you will get the hang of it so quick! It does have Wi-Fi as well so you can control it from your phone, which is absolutely amazing to me! If you're looking for a new cooktop or range, I promise you; you will not regret getting this! I'm very happy with it so far. The left front burner is a powerhouse. The air fry oven feature made excellent french fries, so I was able to give away my air fryer and save some room in my kitchen. The only thing I'm not happy with is the center griddle; the flame is pretty low when it's on griddle setting, so even though I heated the griddle up on high for 10 minutes it didn't get as hot as I wanted. I was able to make a pancake on it, but it took a while. Still, I like the convenience of having the griddle feature built in, and I think it'll be useful for heating up tortillas.. Jackie. This cooktop heats fast and holds temperature nicely. Overall materials seem to be high quality, and all functions as advertised. Overall, this is a nice product. I have two issues with the cooktop. First, the aluminum front edge looks nice, at first. It is soft and easily scratched by moving pans over its surface. Even clean smooth bottom pans can and will scratch the surface. Ours looked well used after the first 30 days. Too bad for such a nice cooktop. Second, the controls are not intuitive. You must turn on the burner by touching the symbol, but the temperature controls are only in the center symbol. Everyone who uses this cooktop tries to adjust the burner on the symbol for that burner. How hard would it have been to put a temperature switch in each symbol? You could have turned on the burner and adjusted the temperature in one motion. Note, these are minor annoyances, and should not detract from a very good product at a value price.. decapod. We ordered this range in July of 2021. Unfortunately, due to supply chain issues, the range was backordered. In December, with it still on backorder, we cancelled the order. I would periodically check the availability with no luck. Then in early October of 2022, I found that the range was available so we ordered it and it was installed on October 11th. The reason I wrote all of that is because I read a review about a year ago with a rating of 1 star. The reason for the low rating had NOTHING to do with the quality of the range. It was because the range was unavailable. Having said that, I have to say that I absolutely love this range. We switched from a standard glass top electric range to this induction range and I couldn't be happier. Adjusting the the burner temperature is instantaneous. With the old range, when I would turn down the heat, the element would continue glowing red for 30 to 60 seconds causing boilovers. It boils water MUCH faster than anything else I've seen.
