My family ribs me endlessly over my precious sink! It was shipped in the Arc of the Covenant. We had to use an engine hoist outfitted with a support bar to move the piece into position. It came with brackets and parts to hang on the wall, but at 400 pounds, the wall would have had to have been designed with this in mind. Instead, I did a Frankenstein bit to a thrift store oak kitchen table. We built a box out from the wall for plumbing access. Still working on getting the correct pipes and equipment, but I will have my sink eventually! Note for those looking: PLAN! It's ridiculously heavy, but oh so pretty. I was very disappointed in the benches I received. They were not black nor were they poly lumber. They were wood and brown. When I contacted the company, I was given options to either keep them or return them. I was not given an amount of what it would cost to return them but I figured it would be costly because they are pretty heavy. After a conversation with a customer service representative, I agreed to keep them with a 20% discount. Then came time to put them together and that was also a disappointment. Several of the wholes were not big enough for the screw covers so it took almost 4 hours to put one together-we did not have the time nor the patience to put the other one together. The instructions were poorly written and hard to follow. Unrelated to this purchase but also a disappointment was a lamp I received from this company a week earlier that had broken wires and needed to be replaced. Love this sink! It was so hard to find in black. The quality seems fine, clean and shines nicely. Love having one smaller sink and one larger sink so I can wash veggies while filling pots. The shallow center divider makes it easy to use both sides or rest pots on center while washing. BUT!!!! So frustrated that you can order this sink $300 cheaper directly on the companies web site. I contacted Wayfair for a price adjustment and all they said was the company sets the prices. They refused to offer any refund or credit. Do yourself a favor go directly to the company to order.. This Kohler Cairn farmhouse sink definitely lived up to those expectations! Its large size and deep depth was perfect in my kitchen, allowing for easy washing of dishes.
