Amazing...I grappled with buying these columns for 2 years, because of the non-refundable policy, so I had to be sure. I have a small porch so I knew I couldnt get the columns to wide or the proportions would look odd. So I used makeshift cardboard and the like to determine what to buy...I made the best decision with the 5.63 width columns they look amazing. My contractor bought 5 wood post from our local big box store and used brackets to install them on the porch. He used his nail gun to fasten each wrap to the wood post, he said it was rather simple to install. Next he caulked all the small nail gun holes and painted ( per instructions for winter protection) looks amazing. Had insomnia so I decided to put one together. It went together easily. The most difficult point is when you put the circles together. Join two pieces and then join those together to make a circle. As the circle will be oblong at first you have to ease the two parts together incrementally pulling the teo sides apart to make a more perfect circle. Push these joints together firmly. Pass a screw through all 4 screw holes to make sure they are fully joined. Doing this saved me a lot of frustration. It has no plastic coating which won’t end ip in my garden when it chips from UV damage. Instead there is a powder coating of paint on metal which is great as this can be touched up or if needed.. K.
