This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is. Our only issue with the product is that it “whistles” at its lower speeds and due to slightly inconsistent suction, the metal grills were vibrating against the lower horizontal frame. This adjustable 2 piece extension kit will allow for ZLINE Wall Mount Range Hood mounting on 10 ft. to 12 ft. ceilings. Two 36 in. tall telescoping chimney pieces will replace the 2 standard 16 in. chimney pieces (supplied with your ZLINE Wall Mount Range Hood) to allow for mounting on 10 ft. to 12 ft. ceilings. Pieces adjust between 37 in. to 71 in. Brushed stainless steel finish will match your range hood and add a sleek, elegant look to your home.
