We just had it installed yesterday. Recommend that you get a print out of the specifications and the installation. From what I was able to read in Wayfare’s description section, we would be able to install the unit flush with the ceiling. And unfortunately, because I didn’t have printed specifications we had to drop down the unit a foot from the ceiling. Not the inconspicuous flush mount unit and I was hoping for. According to my contractor, this was a very complicated unit to install. To be fair this is a relatively new category of range top hoods that are being offered. Pleased with the noise level, but have yet to cook with it. Read reviews from other previous purchasers, and a common statement was how small the remote controller was. There are many pros about this range hood. First, it’s heavy duty - far heavier and sturdier than my previous one. Second, it’s all metal, even the filters, and includes a grease trap, which is a big bonus feature. The fan levels are great and it’s much quieter than our previous hood but definitely powerful. So far we are loving this upgrade. We did not use the vent hose it came with but bought an all metal one at our local home store for better greasefire protection. I will say the directions are somewhat lacking, however, if the person installing it knows what they’re doing, it shouldn’t be a problem. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit is really good. Pretty quiet even on high speeds with great volume of suction. Absolutely love the design of the unit. Controls are pretty good, however are quite away under the hood. I love the filters as I can take them out and put them in the dishwasher for cleaning. We are in the process of remodeling our kitchen. We chose this vent hood because we needed one that was ductless . This one was convertible which was a nice option. As far as delivery it comes very well covered in a protective barrier so that you don’t scratch it up during installation. It is very heavy so keep that in mind for install. A nice bonus that is comes with, you get a pack of towels, pot holders , and oven mitts which I thought was a really nice set of thoughtful extras that wasn’t even advertised.
