Bought this ceiling fan for my parents to replace an older ceiling fan that provided very little light. I primarily wanted to solve the lighting issue in a room that had dim areas that needed more light but still wanted a fan to move air. Their room only had one ceiling junction box to mount anything to so this seemed like a good solution to address both functions. When you press the button, the table rises to the height you remember. The lifting mechanism operates silently. The table frame is metal, so it is durable. Works from a socket. There is a minus - the tabletop is made of a material on which traces remain even from the slightest touch. You cannot raise or lower the height for a long time, as the lifting mechanism overheats and the message “hot” appears on the screen.
