The extra height is great gor me as I can no longer sit so low due to back problems. My 64 friends says its great too, he doesnt feel like an adult in a childrens bathroom. The lid doesnt slam as loudly as my previous toilet lid but its not really what I expected for a soft close. I expected like soft closing cabinet drawers, its not slow like that.
