This traditional piece is at home in any fine study, office, library, upscale restaurant, or scientific laboratory. The weather station measures temperature (in °F), barometric pressure (mbar and inHg), and humidity (%). The bezels display an air of quality and accuracy one would expect with a fine, handcrafted weather instrument. Note: Barometer only operates to 3,000'. Do not order if you live above 3,000'.
Weather Forecasting
The weather forecast or pressure tendency is based on the rate of change of barometric pressure. In general, when the pressure increases, the weather improves (sunny to partly cloudy) and when the pressure decreases, the weather degrades (cloudy to rain). The weather forecast is an estimation or generalization of weather changes in the next 24 to 48 hours, and varies from location to location. The tendency is simply a tool for projecting weather conditions and is never to be relied upon as an accurate method to predict the weather. The barometer includes a manually set needle, which is used to mark the current measurement so a change can be seen. Barometric readings should be taken daily. Remember that the rate of change of barometric pressure is important in determining weather changes. You may want to take multiple readings each day during periods of unstable weather conditions.

Fine piece, especially given the very affordable price.
I will say the thermometer was installed a few degrees out from being aligned vertically, but not enough to distract most folks. (To clarify, I mean the face should be rotated clockwise some; the bore is centered just fine.)
Also, the instructions stated that the thermo and hyg. "shouldn't need calibration," when in fact it seems you couldn't calibrate either without dismantling them (whereas the barometer has a flat-head screw conveniently accessible).
I cannot yet speak to the accuracy of the listed tolerances, but suffice it to say these are NOT precision instruments. You get what you pay for. But it looks nice, and readings are close enough for my purposes.
