This one-way heat control privacy window film provides excellent daytime privacy with advanced technology and highly reflective material. Reflective technology also gives exterior windows a pleasingly uniform, contemporary look. The outside shows silver inside shows the color you choose. Kindly note that the film cannot provide privacy at night. When the inside light is stronger than the outside at night, the mirror reflective effect will disappear. Installation tips: Before installation, please totally clean the window surface and corners to ensure that there is no dust on them. Remember to remove the protective backing film before applying and spray plenty of water onto the glass surface and static cling side of the window film for adhesion(the more water, the better). After installation, please trim the edges and leave enough gaps between the edge of the film and the window to easily squeeze out the air bubbles.
A WORTHWHILE, YET SIMPLE PROJECT
Wayfair offers so many good products and this is no exception. Our summertime temps have been quite intense and this product was designed to help alleviate those unwelcome UV rays from streaming into the home as well as help lessen the burden on air conditioning.
Notably, the grade of this product is comparable to what you see in those mirrored commercial buildings, easy to see out but repels the UV rays from coming in while also protecting your furnishings from being discolored by the suns rays.
The ease of application is surprising, however, if you’ve never applied this before I’d recommend you watch a video or several on you tube as to ‘How to Install Window Film to Block UV Rays’, it will help make the job even simpler.
The attached photos represent the upper window pane with the completed installation while showing the minimal, yet effective, difference in the attractive tint of the upper pane. The exterior appears as mirrored in the daytime but will appear transparent when the room lighting is on, so don’t expect it to be privacy screening.
Time was at a premium today so I still have to finish this window and several others but it's without a doubt very worthwhile! Would - and will I - recommend them, oh YES!
