Dress up your windows with Ekena Millwork's high-quality lifetime exterior vinyl shutters. The most rustic-looking of popular exterior shutter styles, board, and batten house shutters, were the most common type in America until the mid-18th century when lighter and open louver shutters became more common. Today, they are most often used to bring back the charm of that era in Ekena Millwork's history and to match the period's style of architecture. These shutters are made of durable vinyl, one of today's most versatile exterior materials. With a rich woodgrain molded into each pair, they are a great alternative to traditional wooden shutters, providing the look of wood without the possible upkeep. They are lightweight, easy to maintain, and resistant to water damage, warping, and peeling.
We are in love!!! Honestly I was so nervous to purchase these due to some reviews mentioning they look cheap and shutters were arriving broken and discolored. Our shipment arrived almost a week and a half earlier than expected with no discoloration anywhere and all necessary screws for installation. As far as it looking cheap- no way!! They are beautiful and yes if you look hard and up close you will notice they are not wood but given most shutters installed on newer homes today are all vinyl-plastic this is not abnormal. Two of our windows have an obvious side view of the shutters where guests can see it’s all one piece and that’s completely irrelevant too given how beautiful they are. This brand is on several other big retailer sites and Wayfair’s price has them all beat. I saw these 7 months prior to buying them and I agonized over how they would look and that you cannot return them if you’re unhappy. So glad I decided to do it. Highly recommend. You can’t beat the price for something that will last forever. Yes they will fade but they won’t rot like some of our wood shutters did. We purchased in them Wedgewood blue.. Deanne.
