The Moen digital shower controller is a nice upgrade. We needed a controller on the opposite side of the shower from the shower head, so the water could be turned on without entering the shower. I have had no luck with appliances lately and even though the price was the same for this particular unit everywhere I looked, nobody else offered more than 3 years of warranty.
