The material is a type of plastic fabric—it looks like sturdy cloth on the outside and plastic on the inside. It appears to be more durable than other types of tarps; even so, the weather in my city is very changeable, so time will tell if it truly holds up better than other tarp materials. The four legs each have two small hooks at the bottom for securing them, which really impressed me. Overall, I do recommend it.
