It took me nearly a year and being on an out-of-stock wait-list to find the perfect shelving unit that combined fashion with functionality and here it is, finally! I actually purchased two of these, one for each corner of my dining room. I like the bold black framing, as it ties in my other modern decor while the light colored wood brightens the space highlighting my plants and decorative accents. It was pretty easy to put together aside from the doors on the cabinet (but that could just e because I'm not very good at hanging doors ). The cabinet has enough space to house an air fryer with a little room to spare. It was very important to me that the shelving unit had a bottom cabinet since my kitchen doesn't have the space to hold all my small appliances. It is a perfect sized shelf for a corner. It is sturdy and I didn't need to attach it to the wall, as long as you put a heavier item on a shelf. It was easy to assemble BUT there are sticky letters on several pieces, so you know where to attach them. The problem is getting those sticky letters off when you are finished are a pain. Love love this corner bookshelf! Got this because I have the matching headboard, and knew it would look fantastic together. Came very well boxed and was decently easy to put together. It can be done alone, but another set of hands would be helpful. I found if a screw ends up where some rattan is, just use a screwdriver to move the rattan out of the way to get the screw through. This nice bookshelf ended up being shorter than it should be. In setting it up a little too much pressure was used with the screws, cracking one of the sideboards. We purchased an unfinished Haelynn solid wood 2-door corner cabinet. The cabinet arrived sooner than expected and was well-packaged, so there was no damage. This pine cabinet has soft-close hinges. The right door has a strip that eliminates a gap when the doors are closed (close the right door first). The top is made of strips of wood pieced together but looks good. To finish, we sanded with 180 grit sandpaper, then applied wood conditioner, golden oak Minwax stain, four coats of Minwax warm satin polyurethane with a brush, then finished with one coat of wipe-on poly, sanding with 320 grit sandpaper between coats of poly.
