Super disappointed that this item is much shorter than expected. It is about 23 inches high, instead of 29 inches like it was supposed to be. I even called Wayfair before placing the order to make sure I would receive the 29-inch version of this. I thought it was odd that the 29-inch version was less expensive than the 23-inch version, but the Wayfair associate assured me that I was ordering the 29-inch version. The item arrived more than a week later than the originally promised time frame. Also, the finish is a bit lighter than what I expected. There are a few dark marks on the top of the furniture piece that are either from the stain or from sanding that wasn't finished quite right. Otherwise, it seems like a solid, well-made piece. Really happy with this bookshelf. It’s sturdy and feels solid once assembled. I was able to put it together by myself without any issues, and the instructions were straightforward. The finish looks clean and modern, and it doesn’t wobble on my floors. I like that it’s tall but still slim, so it doesn’t take up much visual space. The shelves feel strong enough for decor, books, and heavier accent pieces. It looks more expensive than it is and fits nicely in a modern or neutral space. Only small note it helps to have a second person to hold pieces steady during a couple of steps, but it’s totally doable solo.
