Abalone shells are rock-clinging gastropod mollusks that have a flattened shell slightly spiral in form having many names as Mother-of-Pearl which is the white inside of the shell. Abalone grows by feeding on seaweed such as kelp. The different varieties of seaweed create different colors in their shell as they grow. It is an organic gemstone, the same category as amber and pearl. The iridescent colors and deeply spiritual meaning bring special attributes to the homes decorated with it. Turning these shells to the light can reveal many hues, from turquoise, peacock green, and blue to rose pink, purple, and gold shimmer.

I love these abalone shell knobs on my spice rack pull out shelving. They are truly unique. Mine have the matte black finish to complement the matte black handles on my cabinetry. Gorgeous!!!. Dawn. Coronado, CA. 2022-02-20 17:42:44
