I absolutely LOVE this desk! I debated for a long time about getting it. I did not want to spend quite so much on a desk, but I also wanted something pretty, something that would look good in my guest room office, but also be very practical to use everyday. I bought a different desk first - a desk that comes in a million pieces of compressed particleboard that took 2 hours to put together. It was ok, but the desk was wobbly, the drawer fronts never were aligned properly, and it didnt look like furniture. I am SO glad I returned that one and so glad I spent a little extra to get this beautiful piece of furniture! The only assembly I had to do was attach the legs which was simple. Once assembled this desk is rock solid! NO wobble, drawers slide smoothly, the insides of the drawers are even nice! The velvet lined keyboard traydrawer is a really nice touch too - whatever your preference, the middle drawer makes an excellent keyboard tray (thats how Im using it) but it could also be used as a drawer. The surfaces of the desk are smooth white (no wood grain) and there is a small recessed notch around the edges of the desk, which adds to the beauty of the desk (and acts as a crumb catcher - so a can of compressed air will be very useful cleaning that up!) The desk has a finished back and looks good on all sides. The cable management area underneath is a great place to hide cords - I used some command strip hooks to keep things from hanging down. This is worth the money and worth the wait - once I finally decided to buy, it was out of stock so I checked back daily and got lucky with one being available after a couple of weeks. The ONLY bad thing... The white surface of this desk is easily marked by anything that slides across it, so Im trying to be REALLY careful to keep it new looking! I love this desk! As you can see in the photos, I customized it a bit by painting the black bars gold and replacing the black metal knobs with some glass ones, which I think really compliment the desk more. Its plenty big for me to have a dual monitor setup (mine are 22 monitors) and have my Wacom and everything else. The drawers themselves are shallow, but theres still a bit of clearance, so you can put things in that are slightly taller than the drawer sides. Just an all around classy looking, solid desk. Set up was super easy since you only have to put the legs and back bar on, but you will need two people to stand it up since its pretty heavy. Some cons -Its really low. Like, Im 5 foot 4 and my knees hit the underside if Im not careful. But I can put it on lifts, so its not a huge drawback for me. -The leg area is obviously very open, so if you have a setup like mine with a lot of wires, youll have to step up your cable management game. -I dont know if its just mine, but the front area around the drawers looks like it has a bunch of wood colored paint, with brush strokes to mimic wood grain. I can see in areas where the paint ends that theres actual wood grain, so I dont know if mine was damaged and they fixed it or if its supposed to be like that.. Anonymous.
