I really like this clock. Looks great and easy to assemble. The chime sounds are acceptable and the pendulum movement is nice. It is definitely worth the cost. I would give this 5-stars except for one significant issue; the clock face is hard to read. When the light conditions are bright the face has so much glare that it is hard to see the hands. When it is darker there is very little contrast on the face, so again time is hard to read from anywhere except directly in front and close to the clock. You can actually see this from the images online. Look closely at the clock face in the images. I believe the manufacture is aware of this issue and took the best image they could get. But even the best image is not very good. Finally, this issue is not unique to this particular model. There are many similar clock models that use the same clock face. Despite a delayed delivery due to Coronavirus precautions, the grandfather clock arrived and the set up was very well done. I love the chiming and lighting of the clock face. It’s a grandfather clock I’ll keep in my family for a long time. Although you do have to fine tune the time because the pendulum comes preset, I highly recommend this grandfather clock. Love it! however no white glove service to set up.. A Lot of box to throw away.. I wish they made all parts metal though noticed some of the scrolly design is just plastic.. This grandfather clock features a unique modern design with a rectangular dial. The dial features chrome-finished hour markers in a sunbeam pattern with the hour and minute hands finished in black and a continuous sweep second hand finished in red. The pendulum features a complementing rectangular-shaped bob finished in gloss white with a polished stainless-steel rod. An LED spotlight is provided in the base to view the clock in a darkened room. A touch dimmer pad is located on the backside of the base, allowing for four light levels: Low, medium, high, and off. A power adapter that plugs into the base powers the LED light. Time-only, quartz battery-operated movement requires one AA and two C batteries (not included). Floor glides provide stability and protection on non-carpeted surfaces.
