Excellent pan! The people leaving bad reviews about receiving warped pans is one thing. That would make me furious, expecting the best quality item and getting a defective product. So I get it. However! These folks leaving reviews about worst pan ever everything sticks, clearly have no idea what theyre doing and have zero concept of pan seasoning or basic oil burn temps. I opened the box, adored its beauty for a moment, washed it, dried it, got the pan warm, added some high burn point neutral oil, swirled it around the pan and painted the sides, let it start to smoke lightly then let the pan cool. After this quick process I fried 4 eggs in the pan with a tiny but of oil... the egg floated around the pan like a little delicious, protein packed angel on a cloud. Having the right tool for the job is only one aspect of creating fantastic food. You must have the right ingredients, seasoning, oil and technique. I got this in the 1.5 qt. size and you can see what a standard 15.5 oz can of food looks like in there for scale. I've had this 3 years now and can say Tramontina's tri-ply is really good quality. I'm not sure why they don't seem to get as much attention as brands like Calphalon, but they should. I also have a Tramontina 8" tri-ply skillet and it performs really well, too. Loveeeee this set! They are beautiful! If you have trouble with it “losing” its shine (inside) or tarnished its not (look at my photos). You have to treat this set like you treat a cast iron skillet “season” the pans after use. After a good hand wash dry the pans with a soft cloth, then dab a few drops olive oil (or oil if your choice) wipe the inside of each pan (you are coating the oil in the pan) and wah lah they are perfect again! I really love the look and loved how it cooked. I just used it for the first time on low heat. I just washed it thoroughly and this is what I was left with ( super disappointed. Nice pan at a nice price. As some of the reviews have pointed out, the pan discolors on the inside with use. Washing doesn't remove the discoloration, but presumably a cleanser might. Tramontina recommends Barkeeper's Friend but I haven't tried it. Regardless, it's just cosmetic. The pan has a nice handle, is oven safe, and is induction range compatible.
