Great fryer! PROS It is difficult to find a fryer where the oil is in a separate section that stays in the fryer that you dont have to drain each time you use. This one is easy to use and easy to clean. CONS We had to replace the cord because the one it comes with was to short for us. It does not make a beep or sound when temp has been met like most but that is ok given the light turns green. Time will tell how long this one will last as the ones in the past (different brand) only last a few years and then the cord starts to get very hot during use and then we know it is time to replace this one!. Loveeeee this set! They are beautiful! If you have trouble with it “losing” its shine (inside) or tarnished its not (look at my photos). You have to treat this set like you treat a cast iron skillet “season” the pans after use. After a good hand wash dry the pans with a soft cloth, then dab a few drops olive oil (or oil if your choice) wipe the inside of each pan (you are coating the oil in the pan) and wah lah they are perfect again! I got this in the 1.5 qt. size and you can see what a standard 15.5 oz can of food looks like in there for scale. I've had this 3 years now and can say Tramontina's tri-ply is really good quality. I'm not sure why they don't seem to get as much attention as brands like Calphalon, but they should. I also have a Tramontina 8" tri-ply skillet and it performs really well, too.
