Loveeeee this set! They are beautiful! If you have trouble with it “losing” its shine (inside) or tarnished its not (look at my photos). You have to treat this set like you treat a cast iron skillet “season” the pans after use. After a good hand wash dry the pans with a soft cloth, then dab a few drops olive oil (or oil if your choice) wipe the inside of each pan (you are coating the oil in the pan) and wah lah they are perfect again! Great looking pan set I ordered two different sets one in mat and one in shiny out side metal. I find using a generous amount of oil in the pans helps since the insides have ridges easy clean up after the pans cool off and soak in water for a tiny bit wipes right out. I absolutely love these! They are obviously well built and meant to last. They are heavy, but not to the point that it is annoying or impacts use. I almost didnt get these because of some of the more negative reviews I read, but I'm glad I didnt listen to that. These are fantastic. Like any of the different types of cookware, it's all about knowing how to cook with the type of material you are using or at least being willing to learn. I am used to cooking with nonstick products so I had to read up on how best to cook with stainless steel and I've had no issues. I would definitely recommend these!. Samantha. I got this in the 1.5 qt. size and you can see what a standard 15.5 oz can of food looks like in there for scale. I've had this 3 years now and can say Tramontina's tri-ply is really good quality. I'm not sure why they don't seem to get as much attention as brands like Calphalon, but they should. I also have a Tramontina 8" tri-ply skillet and it performs really well, too. I chose the 14 Piece Stainless Steel (1810) Cookware Set because I needed to retire an old set of temporary pans. I really wanted All Clad, but the sticker price shock for a set is a bit much for most of us. But then I found these triply beauties by Tramontina. there was another set by Cuisinart and i was torn be which one to get. Now these stil dont compare to to the All Clad, but they came very close. Key difference is the thumb indent on the handle - critical when you use an oven glove and trying to pour, the smooth handle can slip and overturn while in your glove causeing a loss of control. the other thing is the glass lids, the tempered glass is only oven rated to 350 degrees, steel lids are oven rated to 500 degrees (although you cant see through steel lids). All that is totally fine for me because i have dedicated ovenware. For a fraction of the price, I feel incredibly comfortable with my purchase, and i want to recommend this set to anyone who is interested in purchasing a stainless steel fully clad cookware set.. Great pots for the price! We’re replacing old ones from Calphalon, and these are far superior. I used the small pot to boil 12 qt of water on our induction stove and it look about 60 seconds. Great heat transfer. I haven’t sautéed in them yet, but they are heavy, well balanced pots so they should have nice even heat. And the stacking feature is clutch.
