The 12 ft umbrella is exactly what we needed for our pool area to provide some shade. Assembly took about an hour to put it all together. I love that it came with a base, but note that you need a lot of sand to fill the four sandbags that are inside of the base. Beautiful umbrella! I love these types of umbrellas because they are easy to use and maintain. The crank system glides with ease and is not hard move up. When it is open it covers a large area for us to have a sofa and chairs. The base is heavy when the sand bags are full so no tipping will happen. But you will need to keep it in the spot you choose.
