Well, the bed is gorgeous. It smells great, like pine. It's solid and sturdy and easy to put together. But I'm confused. I have a normal full size (52/53-ish inches) mattress and box spring. This bed is a normal full size bed frame. I put it together correctly. But I have inches of space left where you can see the slats: The box spring/mattress don't fit snugly into the frame. It doesn't look nice. I'm contemplating returning this, but I'm not sure what I can do after I've already set it up. I think my mattress might run on the small side of a "full variation," as I now understand that mattress can slightly vary by size.
