Aquarium Stand 29 Gallon

I’m 72 and put this together myself. The instructions didn’t always match the picture guide, but I did get it together. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is from the very first screws I inserted there was some of the cabinet that flaked up. But once the screw was in place it wasn’t noticeable. It seems very sturdy. I have cement floors and had to add sliding pads to make it level. The back metal poles have a place to screw something in but nothing was included? I maybe reviewing a little early but I just assembled the stand yesterday and it went fine. Stand was fairly easy to setup, took me about 1.5 hours since I confused the screws but all was okay! I bought this stand for a new 40-gallon tank that I am setting up. This aquarium stand was shipped and delivered on time with no damage. Assembling it was a bit of a challenge because the top was slightly bowed. It took a rubber mallet and 200lbs of weight to get it lined up so I could screw it down. The openings in the back panel aren't really useful for my purposes. The designers only considered tanks with hang off back (HOB) filters. If you are using a canister filter that resides in the cabinet below the tank, you will either have to leave the back panel off or get creative with a saw. I got creative with a saw and cut a hole in the back big enough to easily accommodate the filter's output/return hoses and provide easy access for maintenance. This stand seems sturdy enough to support the 450lb+ weight of a filled 40-gal tank. It's not what I'd call high quality or high-end decorator, but so far it suits my tastes just fine.. Nicole. Looks great! I may be wrong but tank stand seemed to be a used item, or perhaps a returned item, as it had scratches on the wood and a couple chips on the corners but for the price I paid, I can't really complain. Stand is very sturdy and a great item in general; my 40 gallon snake tank looks incredible on it with extra space left for a larger tank when I need to upgrade in the future. Shipping took a couple of days, and it was delivered 1 day after it should have, but that was FedEx fault, not the seller. This aquarium stand was just what I needed! it fit perfectly and was the natural wood style we were looking for. It was surprisingly high quality and very heavy when put together. Only concern was the delivery (can't blame Wayfair). As you can see in the photo by the time it arrived at my house the box was pretty beat up.
