I really loke this pergola. Looks great. Took 4 hours between two people but that included waiting for two other ones to move the canopy in place. It is definetly not water proof. Update: the gazebo is fairly easy to put together, but pay attention to the directions closely. It’s easy to put some parts on backwards and not realize it until later. For example, on the half wall sides, at the top point near the roof, there is a metal piece connecting the two beams. Make sure the two little holes are facing inward (they are for the roof). The material is manufactured wood that is rather soft. It doesn’t feel like trex boards. The boards are lighter than trex. It does take multiple people to put together. I would recommend at least 3-4 people, although the directions call for 5. The sides are put together and then tilted up. It is heavy and bulky. You need people to hold them upright while you attach the main support beams on the sides. After that, you only need 2 people. Oh and this would make a perfect live nativity scene setup at Christmas. I didn’t know what to expect regarding a wayfair delivery of a big and bulky item. This was by far the best delivery experience I’ve had. I received text messages from the warehouse with pictures, so I knew how the gazebo was coming. I could customize the day and time. It came on a pallet. Mine was delivered in a storm without any issues. They even carried it to the back of the yard, having to take it off the pallet jack for that. The pieces are very heavy duty. I ordered 2 pieces. One arrived on time, the other the next day. The one that was late was just thrown on the road. The box was wrinkled and torn in places. I thought everything was completely broken there. But, not so bad, the damage is not significant. Some places has scrapped and The paint is also scratched in places. For me, all this is not critical. Assembles quickly. About 4 hours collected 2 pieces by two people. Hint: if the holes do not match, then you need to turn the part over. And everything fits perfectly. The biggest disappointment was the roof. While we were stretching the fabric, it had already begun to tear at the attachment points.
