We needed relief from the hot sun on our paved patio. First we tried a cantilever umbrella, but it twisted and rocked on gusty days, despite being anchored. Then we explored the option of a custom louvered pergola, but the price was in the tens of thousands. So I was looking at gazebos, and the extra awnings of this one would be useful. It arrived in only a week. Everything was in perfect condition, nothing missing, in 1 box, 7" x 17 1/2" x 17'. I think the description said it would take 2-3 days to construct, but my husband did it, start to finish, in exactly 4 hrs. Each piece is marked, and the instructions are pictoral, so its very simple. The 2 included awnings can be attached to any of the 4 sides, and easily moved to other sides if/when needed. Although it's much sturdier than the pop-up gazebos commonly seen at beaces and flea markets, it cannot be trusted to remain in place without added weights. We bought weight bags that hold 50# of sand/rocks for each leg, and now we don't expect it to move if a sudden wind comes up. Part of the description lists it as 11' x 11', in another place it says it's 10' x 10'. We were hoping it was bigger, but it is only 10' x 10'. I deducted a star in the rating because of that. The metal parts are a very dark bronze, not black. The fabric does a good job of blocking out the sun, and although it doesn't claim to be waterproof, we stood under it, dry, tonight while it rained. Update: the gazebo is fairly easy to put together, but pay attention to the directions closely. It’s easy to put some parts on backwards and not realize it until later. For example, on the half wall sides, at the top point near the roof, there is a metal piece connecting the two beams. Make sure the two little holes are facing inward (they are for the roof). The material is manufactured wood that is rather soft. It doesn’t feel like trex boards. The boards are lighter than trex. It does take multiple people to put together. I would recommend at least 3-4 people, although the directions call for 5. The sides are put together and then tilted up. It is heavy and bulky. You need people to hold them upright while you attach the main support beams on the sides. After that, you only need 2 people. Oh and this would make a perfect live nativity scene setup at Christmas. I didn’t know what to expect regarding a wayfair delivery of a big and bulky item. This was by far the best delivery experience I’ve had. I received text messages from the warehouse with pictures, so I knew how the gazebo was coming. I could customize the day and time. It came on a pallet. Mine was delivered in a storm without any issues. They even carried it to the back of the yard, having to take it off the pallet jack for that. The pieces are very heavy duty. It was an easy assemble. It took my husband and 17 year old son about 35 minutes to put it together. The directions weren’t the best, but anyone that’s ever seen one of these would be able to complete it without directions. It is much more light weight than I thought it would be hope it would be.
