This light fixture is terrific. It is made of metal, no cheap plastic, and there is a beautiful engraving pattern on the glass, something I wasn't anticipating. They included the bulb, which is supposed to flicker I believe. The thumbnail photo of the listing makes the glass look smoked, but it is crystal clear! When I first purchased it for a pole I already have, I was concerned that the square base was the only option. I was wrong. You have the OPTION of square or round bases! I even took it to the pole and ensured it fit. Installation looks quite easy (the problem is the base of the pole on the snow covered ground, we have to wait until spring. But I am incredibly excited to see this assembled on the pole, and working in the yard. It will be a nice improvement to our exterior lighting in a subdivision that doesn't have any street lights.. It is made from solid brass with a weather-, and rust-resistant finish and affixes to a post with a standard 3” diameter fitting (sold separately). The candelabra-style bulbs (not included) are housed behind clear beveled glass panels that allow for undiffused light. Should you prefer a softer glow, this fixture is dimmer switch-compatible.
