Rustic split bamboo slat fences have been used for centuries in many regions of the world where bamboo is available. It can be used on its own or attached to cover a chain link fence for added beauty and privacy. They are inexpensive and easy to install. Bamboo slats or split bamboo fences are woven together with black nylon coated wire, as opposed to other split bamboo slat fences in the market that usually tie their fences with bare metal wire exposing unsightly metal and rust. The fence is semi-opaque, which provides some privacy. The unique color of the bamboo slats makes it one of the most gorgeous and striking, looking bamboo fences on the market today. The bamboo slats we use are about 1/2" wide. They are packed in a roll for convenience in shipping and setting up. Due to the natural material used, the color will vary and may not look exactly like the photos shown.

It's definitely more see-through than I would've liked, but it does the job in terms of giving you a decent amount of privacy. The quality is okay, not great...some of the reeds are broken on some ends, and some of the dark parts make it look like the wood is rotting. Lastly, for stability, you do need something to tie it to; for both apartments, ours has been against concrete slabs, so we end up leaving it at an angle and then putting something heavy against the base on both ends to keep it up. For context, the first three pictures are from the initial apartment I used it at right after we bought it; the last picture is after nearly 1.5 years and a move to a new apartment. Great product but be sure you want this size in bamboo thickness. This 3/4” D is much smaller and more see through then the 1”D thick. It is very light and thin but makes a great covering or accent for your home.

Our Timor black timber bamboo poles come in an average of 2-3 inches in diameter. They are made up of a thick wall of heavy bamboo and are crack-resistant. Color and actual diameter will vary due to the natural material. We cannot guarantee a specific diameter of each pole, only that they will be between the diameter of 2-3 inches. Bamboo poles may also have different diameters at either end, this is due to the way bamboo grows.
