I just painted my kitchen walls green and found these bar stools that coordinated perfectly. They are sold in a pair of two which is how many works with my counter. The fabric is a suede but pretty much feels velvety. It is very soft but more durable than velvet. I have already wiped up a spill and it cleaned up perfectly with a damp cloth. The seats are great because the pad is very thick making for a very comfortable seat, but not too squishy. There is plenty of support. The tufted back rest adds a beautiful detailed and plush look. There is a curved footrest instead of dangling feet. The bars at the bottom of the frame help to make these stable. This was very easy to assemble with the enclosed instructions and parts. I did both stools myself in about half an hour. The stool is very sturdy overall. The legs are black metal. I just love that the seat does a full swivel. The low profile is something else that really makes these ideal for my space. The seat height is exactly right for a standard kitchen island. I'll preface this by saying "I fully expect these to be trashed within a few years, as I have a busy kitchen and a three year old". That being said, the faux leather has held up well to all sorts of spills, stains, bumps, etc. They don't feel very sturdy but they do the job for now. I purchased a less expensive version, fully expecting to have to replace when the kids are older. Edit 2/13/2026. We've now had these just under 6 years. While I started my first review with an expectation of these being absolutely trashed in a couple years, I am thrilled to report that I was wrong. They're holding up great to a now 8 and 4 year olds daily meals. The kids also like to use these stools as stepladders to get cereal, bread, etc out of the upper cabinets.
