The design of the shed is what sold us! Upon delivery of the shed, we began losing our excitement. The instruction manual required someone with architectural rendering experience to understand some of the instructions. Not easy for a semi-pro to figure it out. The majority of the wood was not marked, so each piece of wood had to be measured and marked to insure the shed would be square. Some of the 2 x4's had massive curves or were split, so adjustments had to be made to insure solid construction. Wood quality seemed like C grade. What a difference this shed made. It is quite sturdy, well made and looks great. When putting it together, I missed a step (a bar that is supposed to be attached to the underside of the lid at the front edge), but it seems to work fine without it. Since that would have added weight that would make opening the lid a little harder for me, I chose to leave it off. As far as difficulty in assembling ... on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the most difficult, I would rate it at about a 4. Love this little shed! Sturdy and fits exactly in the spot I wanted it on my back porch area. Added 2 pieces of wood for shelves. Has slots for up to 3 shelves, but I opted for more floor space based on the items I needed to store in my shed. It took my husband and I about 1.5 hours to put it together. Read the instructions and spread everything out first to make sure it’s all there and that you know where things go before you start putting it together. It will go much smoother!
