I purchased this trifold mattress bed in the white color. Overall, I’m happy with the design and function of the product, but the quality is subpar. I didn’t want a full Murphy bed because I didn’t want to have to mount into the wall. This just looks like a large chest in the room, not too obtrusive. I chose this model versus the others listed on Wayfair because of the metal bedframe. It seemed more sturdy and reliable than the all-particleboard assemblies that others have. The metal bed frame sits nice and flat when open, no wobbling, no squeaking. I’m disappointed in the quality of the particleboard cabinet construction, though. It feels very cheap. The hardware that joins the panels together are plastic sortof cam locks that just expand to grab pre-drilled holes in the particleboard edges (ie. don’t ever plan to move this thing, it will turn to dust!). They were a pain to work with. Some were broken to begin with, some of them just didn’t behave during assembly, making it even more difficult. Some of the panels were damaged upon arrival. I don’t know if they were packed poorly, but the quality just isn’t there for the price point. I didn’t have time to go through getting replacement parts or a new product shipped before I had guests coming. Assembly was a little tricky, lots of steps, and definitely required two people. Take your time, make sure you finish everything on each page before moving on! Seems Obvious, but there are like five steps per page in some cases. It does the job, my guests said it was pretty comfortable to sleep on. I’d recommend waiting until the price comes down, or it’s on major discount to purchase. The quality doesn’t match the price..
