This is the best idea ever, I love it! I was not thrilled about a dark color so I took fabric and glue gunned it all around the wood pieces after I assembled most of it, their was enough room to do this and it worked great. The most perfect bed! I used a box spring under the mattress, which brings the height to 17 inches. When searching for a bed, I specifically wanted one with a taller headboard that would still be visible when the bed is made and could accommodate a box spring—this bed is perfect for that. The drawers are also amazing. They are quite deep, allowing plenty of storage space. I was also looking for a true beige color, and most beds I came across that were labeled “beige” were actually more cream-toned. This one is a genuine beige, exactly what I was looking for.
