[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this comforter set to refresh our master bedroom. The rich colors complement the décor in this room well. This 4-piece set appears majestic and conveys the elegance one may find in a high-end establishment. The chenille damask jacquard is composed of shimmery gold, red/burgundy and brown tones which add to the luxurious sensation of this set. The golden bed skirt has kick box pleats which further adds to the royal feel of this set as well as the thick, gold roping surrounding this thick comforter. The coordinating, flanged shams also have this roping to complete the appearance and consist of a hidden zipper closure which further depicts how sophisticated this set is. Aside from its aesthetic qualities, it fits our 1-foot-thick queen mattress very well and is comfortable and warm. My wife said the only thing that this set is missing are decorative pillows to add more character to our dressed bed. This new set is exactly what I was looking for. However, the packing is such that every part of the comforter set was wrinkled very badly. Not to worry.... I took the flat, wrinkled pillows and put a little water on each side and threw them in the dryer for about 5 minutes. Voila! No wrinkles and they fluffed beautifully, just like the pictures. The comforter itself was a different story. Again, not to worry... I spread it on the bed and ironed it right there in place. It came out perfect. I'm very happy with it.. Diane.
