Even the 'quiet' alarm is kind of loud. It's startling compared to my cellphone alarm (good for people who sleep through those?) The Weekday/ Weekend alarm is misleading- the only settings were Monday-Friday, or Every Day. I like the 'voice activate' feature though- if you completely dim the display, it shows up again at a loud enough sound. No extra light in my room at night. The clock works just as the listing says it should. It is nice and compact (2 1/2" square, as described), well-assembled (no gaps in the seams), the low-luminescence setting is good and the back is not visually distracting (as was the case with similar products). One note for potential buyers: the front, top and sides of the "black" clock are actually wood-grained charcoal grey plastic. Only the back is black. I will keep it because the clock's size, design and functionality were my priorities.
