What a great memory foam mattress! It was easy to unwrap and extend open. I waited 24hrs to allow full air expansion. It feels great, I slept like a baby, it instantly helped with my lower back issues ( guess I needed a new mattress). So far, so great! The smell is not overt nor unbearable, and I am told that the mattress immediately inflated to its size. The first night it was okay for comfort, and excellent with cooling(I sleep hot normally) and the second night was perfect comfort. It is mediumfirm and normally I prefer firm but as this is my first memory foam, its perfect for me. I woke up refreshed and not in pain. I have severe back issues, surgery on Left L45S1 laminectomy when I was 29. Its a very nice looking mattress, as well. I was concerned about no longer having a pillowtop mattress, but I can say that I do not miss it. I will update in 98 days if I still love it or if I exchanged it, which is a wonderful Wayfair feature to have when you buy a mattress from them. This is what tipped me in their favor. Mattress came quickly and I was very happy with that. Still very happy with the mattress, and it has been 2 years. I got an adjustable base a year ago and it works good with that. Amazingly quiet motor, all metal build, and the remote lights up (but only the LCD part - the buttons themselves are difficult to read in low light) and has worked flawlessly. Doesn't creak at all. It's a hair smaller than the queen mattress so that it the whole mechanism can fit inside any bed frame that has removable inner boxspring support rails. It's got a great supportive surface for a memory foam mattress. The metal legs have three sections that can allow you to adjust the height. My pics show it with a 14" mattress purchased from here as well, and with I adjusted the height so that the top of the 14" thick mattress was either 25" or 28" tall, with the bottom clearance beneath the bed either 7.5" or 10" (which is pretty high and allows my robot vacuum to get beneath it, something it can't do under my other beds). Knowing this now, I'd have bought a 12" thick mattress so that the bed is 23" tall since many nightstands are that height. I'd recommend another set of hands to carry it in and assemble it. Instructions are straightforward. It arrived with a slight gouge in the top surface due to a gash in the box, but is hidden by the mattress. The box it arrived in was heavy and unwieldy for the shippers, so i believe that it should be split into two boxes since the bed, in the box, already is in two equal size pieces that you bolt together for assembly.). If you are a side/stomach sleeper this will feel amazing! This is a medium to soft mattress which is the perfect firmness if you have hip or back pain. Nice amount of curve hugging, without feeling like you are sinking. Box arrived without damage in 3 days and it was just as I expected. I got the king size, so it was a 2 person job. We took it out of the box in the driveway, carried it up the steps, placed it on the existing box spring, and then followed the instructions. There are 2 plastic wraps. The mattress was folded in half, so we unfolded it, and cut off the second plastic wrap. It went from completely flat and too small to over 12" tall and perfect from corner to corner in less than one minute. This hybrid is replacing a less than a year old cool gel style 12" foam only mattress. We noticed an immediate difference from the gel to this hybrid. It feels much softer, more like a pillow top, but still with the edge firmness to be able to put socks and shoes on from the sides/end. There is a smell when unwrapping (not unpleasant), but it went away very quickly and after an hour it is not noticeable. I think this is very normal for the foam mattress styles. After sleeping uncomfortably on a gel mattress (another brand) we are excited to wake up without body aches! This is better than I had hoped, I will update this if it is anything less than 5 stars.. The leather is okay not the greatest quality it was better in the lower priced smart bed with the Italian leather. The major issue with this bed is the recliner which is the main feature, it doesn’t attach to the bed so it’s just sitting there, if you recline it gets really weak as the structure is not strong enough to support a recliner. It wobbles side to side even if empty, if you’re reclined in it and lean too much to one side the entire thing will fall over. Sitting straight is a little more sturdy. The massage feature is just a vibration with different patterns not a true massager. The Bluetooth speaker speaks in Chinese and no directions come with the bed. It has a clock that’s stuck in military time. Heater and fan built in is a nice touch but points away from the bed. Finally the head and foot of the mattress portion is not supported properly as in the cheaper version so it sinks. You will need to purchase some additional support to make it work. For the price it’s a no but I will probably just keep it as I’ve waited months for it and sold the Habinara bed that was better made but had a useless chaise. I decided to write this review exactly 2 weeks after it arrived. We have been sleeping much better. I did my whole review, contemplating, going back forth for the perfect bed in a box like the majority of you reading this. Yeah, it took almost 48 hrs like it says to expand to 12 inches. It’s honestly not completely Plush, but after reading most the reviews I knew that. I wanted to purchase a “Plush” just so I knew if it happened I could tolerate a “medium” feel, which it is completely a medium-soft feel. Overall, it’s helped our back’s we will give it a 45 ⭐️. We paid 70 for someone to come pick up our old mattress box spring so include that in your overall cost as well. I’m Impressed so far, and you can sit fine on the edges of the bed also.. Meghan.
