I got this in the 1.5 qt. size and you can see what a standard 15.5 oz can of food looks like in there for scale. I've had this 3 years now and can say Tramontina's tri-ply is really good quality. I'm not sure why they don't seem to get as much attention as brands like Calphalon, but they should. I also have a Tramontina 8" tri-ply skillet and it performs really well, too. I really like this purchase. I was looking for healthy cookware (no chemical coated stuff) and this pot is almost entirely stainless steel. There is an inner part of the pot that is not stainless steel, but that's okay, because it's layered (intumed if you will) within stainless steel, so that part never touches your food. I was excited when we received the set. I have to admit it took some getting used to, cooking with these is a bit different than cooking with the nonstick pans we normally have. I would recommend seasoning the pans before using, it helps to avoid sticking.
