This cedar cupola is the perfect finishing touch for the 12 ft. cedar octagon gazebo. Bronze-colored metal roof is included, as well as hardware to install.

Although the cupola ended up looking nice on gazebo, it wasn’t without a lot of improvising. First, it came unfinished with mold in the wood in one section, so I had to spray that area with a bleach mixture. The mold never completely lifted, so I stained and sealed it thoroughly with hopes that process would provide coverage and protection from further damage. To give it some gloss and further protection, I used polyurethane. Meanwhile, there was a horizontal slat crooked and coming loose and I had to force it back in place, hoping the seal would act as a kind of adhesive. Once we began to install the cupola on the roof, it began to come apart near the bottom. The contractor pointed this out and used a screw to keep it together. You may see the screws in the pictures provided. Overall, it came out looking pretty good, but I would say for others to buy this type ornament somewhere local, in person so they can see the wood and test its durability.. Annette. Very well made. Installed it on my 30X40 metal pole barn. Secured it with Gorilla Glue Adhesive caulk and two 6 inch lag screws. This cupola will never blow down. It comes in white with a black metal roof. Weather vane is also all black. I painted the sides green with a white accent stripe. Painted the eagle gold and the NSEW white. Looks great.
